Polina Menshikh was performing at the cultural center of Kumachove, a village located in the Donetsk region, a few kilometers from the front line. This Ukrainian attack cost the life of Polina Menshikh but also 25 soldiers according to the Ukrainian authorities. Around ten injured people are also to be counted. The Russian actress was taken to hospital but died of her injuries. The missiles were able to be launched thanks to the high-tech HIMARS missile system delivered by the United States to Ukraine.

Robert Brovdi, a Ukrainian commander, explains on Telegram that this attack represents an “act of retaliation for November 3”. “We knew where they were going to gather and we welcomed them warmly,” he says. Brovdi refers to a Russian attack carried out during a military ceremony in the Zaporizhzhya region. The assault left twenty dead. The Ukrainian president spoke out and described this event as “a tragedy that could have been avoided”.
