War in Ukraine: Zelensky calls for evacuation of Donetsk region, scene of fighting in the East

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday evening called on the population to evacuate the Donetsk region in the east of the country, whose cities are the target of deadly bombardments, to escape “Russian terror”.

“A government decision has been made on the mandatory evacuation of the Donetsk region”said the Ukrainian president. “Please evacuate”he added in a video address.

“At this stage of the war, terror is Russia’s main weapon”he underlined, while the Russian strikes on the cities of the region make victims almost every day among the civilian population.
