Global celebrations for Warhammer Day brought a massive wave of digital updates, physical collectibles, and deep discounts across the tabletop franchise, highlighted by new content announcements for Space Marine 2, Battlesector, and upcoming titles.
Warhammer Day 2026 Expands Digital Battlescapes and Physical Merchandise
Developer Saber Interactive showcased new gameplay footage for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, highlighting co-op modes, customization for player-managed Chapters, and a staggered release window for late 2026. Players can look forward to stepping into the boots of the legendary Lieutenant Titus to fight through swarms of Tyranids, alongside fresh information regarding cooperative features and personalization tools for their custom Chapters. The celebration also brought early concept art for an unreleased Horus Heresy strategy game code-named ‘Project Imperator’ alongside confirmation that a survival horror title called ‘Alistair’s Descent’ is actively developing for PC and next-generation consoles.
Focusing on the more personal and terrifying aspects of the Warhammer universe, this project steps away from massive warfare to deliver an intimate and dread-filled experience. Tabletop fans received updates on upcoming digital adaptations and physical goods alike.
Beyond ‘Space Marine 2’, Games Workshop and its partners announced a variety of new video game initiatives. Fans can also jump on board the Dawn of War IV RTS and command the Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and the Adeptus Mechanicus. Discover decades of brilliant titles by playing Warhammer Classics such as Fire Warrior, Shadow of the Horned Rat, and Final Liberation, currently discounted on the Warhammer Steam Franchise hub.
