Warning Issued for 10+ Villages North of Litani River, Nabatieh

The Israeli military has issued urgent evacuation warnings to residents of more than 10 villages and towns in southern Lebanon, including several locations within the Nabatieh district situated north of the Litani River.

The warnings demand that civilians vacate their homes immediately. According to reports, the alert encompasses specific localities including Nabatieh, Ebba, Jibchit, Habbouch, Harouf, and Kfar El Faouqa. Some reports indicate the total number of affected villages in the southern region has reached 15.

The Israeli army stated that the military action is a response to Hezbollah’s activities in these areas. In a statement issued by the military’s Arabic-language spokesperson, the army asserted that residents located near Hezbollah operatives, facilities, or weaponry are putting their lives at risk.

“For your own protection, you must vacate your homes immediately. Anyone located near Hezbollah operatives, facilities, or weapon is putting their life at risk.” Israeli military Arabic-language spokesperson

The directive for residents to move north of the Litani River follows a series of escalating military operations in the region. The Israeli military has maintained that it does not intend to harm civilians, though it claims it is compelled to take military action against Hezbollah targets within these residential zones.

The expansion of these warnings into the Nabatieh district marks a shift in the geographical scope of the alerts, moving beyond the immediate border buffer zone into deeper Lebanese territory.

The Lebanese government and Hezbollah have not issued a formal joint response to the latest set of evacuation orders.
