Warzone 2: A new trick penalizes good listening – Don’t be fooled by the proximity chat
The (almost) hopeless situation: During a game of Call of Duty in DMZ mode, the situation is rather bad for ZappaBeefheart and his team, a player is already down and the enemies are at the door. Here’s how the player rigged the sound: In the clip’s comments on Reddit, users are wondering how it’s possible to fake the revive audio so stylishly. The smart player confesses that he recorded the sound. It then reproduces it at the press of a button via a tool (called Voicemod). The tactician further reveals that when he wants to scare enemies, he also drops the sound of a reconnaissance drone with the press of a button.
