Al-Marsad Sports: Sports critic Ahmed Al-Shamrani explained that Al-Ahly’s relegation constituted major question marks, indicating that the team’s preparations for the Yellow League were not good, and the club had neglected all its gains in the summer transfer period.
Al-Shamrani said in televised statements on Al-Ekhbariya channel: “Al-Ahly’s preparations are not good. His camp in Turkey was like an open camp to negotiate the transfer of a player and second loan, and the results achieved through the camp showed us the other side of the preparations.”
He added: “Al-Ahly overreacted in all its Saudi and non-Saudi gains, and green players did not live up to the level of Al-Faisaly players, Al-Hazm and Al-Qadisiyah, who participate in the competitions. Therefore, Al-Ahly, following their grief over relegation, have fears that the team will remain in the first division for years.”
