The video showed the 15-year-old student asking the teacher to give him his phone, saying: “Give me my phone, I told you to give me my phone! Give me my phone!”
“Go and sit,” the teacher calmly replied to the student, before the teen backed away and surprised the older teacher with a circular punch in his right hand, according to the New York Post.
The incident took place at Lamar High School in Houston, Texas, where principal Rita Graves sent a letter to the families pledging that such behavior would not be tolerated.
