Qatar Airways announced, on Thursday, the official song of the World Cup (FIFA Champions) performed by Algerian rai singer Khaled Hajj Ibrahim, known as Cheb Khaled.
Qatar Airways tweeted on “Twitter” that the song was presented by the Algerian rai artist Cheb Khaled, accompanied by the Lebanese international music coordinator, Rodge, under the title “CHAMPIONS”.
The company confirmed that the song “CHAMPIONS” was performed for the first time in the passenger waiting area exclusively for fans of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the Algerian singer’s performance was magical.
The company revealed the launch of a new song to celebrate the World Cup during a ceremony at Hamad Airport, in which Gianni Infantino, President of the Football Association, FIFA, participated.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said in his speech at the ceremony: “With the launch of the passenger waiting area, we look forward to hosting thousands of fans at any time at our world-class airports.”
In turn, Bader Al-Meer, Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport, said, “The start of work in the waiting area for departing passengers at Hamad and Doha International Airports will provide a wonderful opportunity to experience the Qatar World Cup 2022.”
The waiting areas for departing passengers are part of Matar Company’s initial airport operations plan, which aims to improve the general flow at both airports and accommodate thousands of visitors at any time throughout the tournament period.
The passenger waiting area at Hamad International Airport includes an area dedicated to virtual reality games, to be the first in the world, in addition to children’s play areas and giant screens broadcasting the World Cup matches and the latest news of the tournament.
