Watch exports continued to grow in February

Swiss watch exports made solid progress in February, approaching 2 billion francs. The United States and China remain at the top of the main markets for Swiss timepieces, posting double-digit growth.

Shipments of Swiss watches abroad amounted to 1.99 billion francs, up 24.4% year-on-year. “This is by far the best month of February achieved by the branch, with an increase driven by most markets,” said the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH) on Thursday.

In 2021, these exports totaled 1.6 billion francs, a stable figure compared to 2020. In January, exports had reached 1.7 billion. /ATS-gtr
