Watch.. Landslide swallows several cars in Egypt

The Fifth Settlement area, east of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, witnessed a strange incident, as a landslide swallowed cars, causing them to smash.
The strange accident occurred on the southern 90th Street, which is a vital street in the area, as it led to the accumulation of cars and the stoppage of traffic. The authorities cordoned off the area, recovered cars and restored traffic to normal.

For its part, the Egyptian Ministry of the Interior said that the examination revealed that a car had fallen into a hole in one of the areas in the assembly police station in Cairo, noting that its owner was summoned, as he reported that his car had fallen in an area of ​​​​drilling works at a depth of 2 meters for sewage works carried out by a company.

A wave of bad weather hit the governorates of Egypt on Sunday evening and the early hours of Monday morning, as it witnessed heavy rain and snowfall, accompanied by thunder, lightning and winds that stopped the irrigated movement and paralyzed life.

The authorities declared a state of extreme emergency, and the Ministry of Local Development formed an operations room to follow up on efforts to deal with the rains and the wave of bad weather in the governorates.

For his part, Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, followed up with a number of governors the situation in the governorates to follow up the measures that were taken to confront the rainfall and the operations of suction and withdrawal of water pools.

The minister directed to quickly deal with rainwater pools that exist in some places, whether in cities or centers on the main and secondary streets, as well as villages, and the presence of suction cars in the streets and withdrawing water from them as soon as possible so as not to cause any problems for citizens and to preserve their safety.
