WATCH: Roussel clears his heart about Zegras

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras was once again talked about for the wrong reasons this past weekend over comments he allegedly made about the Coyotes defenseman’s late father. Arizona Troy Stetcher.

An investigation by the National Hockey League is underway on the subject, but in any case, the actions of Zegras irritate the highest point the former NHL player Antoine Roussel.

“I told you last year [quand Troy Terry s’était fait battre à sa place] how much that player annoyed me, Roussel told La Poche Bleue at noon on Wednesday.

“If you want to be a villain, that’s okay, but embrace your role until the end. Don’t be in between. When the little bell rings, it’s time to answer for your actions and he always hides behind a bay window. I looked at the Zegras teammates on the bench and they had to say to themselves “Oh no, not yet…”. There’s nothing worse than a guy running out of the lights and not being able to deal with it. For me, it lifts my heart because at some point, you have to act for your team and when you do that, you have the reputation that goes with it.

Roussel then added to show how much he hates this kind of player.

“He’s really not my favorite player, he gets on my nerves. It’s the classic of a cursed, confident kid out of American college who’s always been told he’s good all his life, who’s had no adversity and is put on a pedestal.

“It’s not because you do Michigan…everyone does Michigan…my neighbor does and he’s 6 years old. There’s nothing exceptional in that, give me a season of 120 points, then you’re going to be exceptional. It burns me inside.”
