Apple Releases watchOS 11.2 with New Camera Remote Feature

<

Along with the arrival of iOS 18.2, Apple today also released watchOS 11.2 for Apple Watch users. While not a major update in the same vein as iOS 18.2 and its new Apple Intelligence features, watchOS 11.2 does bring a notable addition to the Camera Remote app.

What’s New in watchOS 11.2

watchOS 11.2 primarily focuses on bug fixes and general performance improvements. However, users who frequently use the Camera Remote app on their Apple Watch to control their iPhone’s camera will notice a handy new feature: the ability to pause video recordings. This functionality, introduced to iPhone users with iOS 18.0 in September, has now made its way to the wrist.

In addition to this convenient addition, Apple Watch wearers in China will find a new Tidal conditions feature within the Tide app. This addition to watchOS is a welcome update for those who rely on this information.

To download watchOS 11.2, users can navigate to Settings > General > Software Update. It’s important to remember that your Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery life and be connected to a charger during the installation process.
