The Cairo Drinking Water Company announced that water will be cut off in some areas in the neighborhoods of Ain Shams, Heliopolis, Nasr City and the Tenth District, from ten in the evening on Friday until ten in the morning next Saturday.
The company stated, in a publication obtained by Al-Mal, that the reason for the water outage during that period was due to the diversion of the water line, with a diameter of 1200 mm, on Abdel Hamid Badawi Street in front of the Military College.
The water company directed the owners of bakeries, hospitals and vital places in those areas to store water and procure their needs during the interruption period.
The Cairo Drinking Water Company has also equipped a number of potable water trucks, which are distributed free of charge in the areas affected by the outage.
