“Watheeq”: Launching Saudi Arabia’s Electronic Health File System for Patients

Today (Tuesday), the Deputy Minister of Health, Eng. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Rumaih, inaugurated the “Watheeq” electronic health file system for patients at King Saud Medical City.

Dr. Saleh Al-Tamimi, Chief Executive Officer of the First Riyadh Health Cluster, said: The system is a first stage for its application to all facilities of the First Riyadh Health Cluster for the development of health care.

It is noteworthy that “Watheeq” is a system for recording and storing patients’ medical information confidentially, and includes comprehensive information regarding the patient’s history, which includes medications, diagnoses, laboratory tests, x-rays, and other information to provide the necessary health care with high quality.
