Earlier, the search was carried out by placing camera traps. The move is to identify the tiger and find out where the tiger is present. 11 cameras were installed in various places. Then the tiger was identified and the picture was released. The forest department has appointed a special team of 80 people to find the tiger. The team consists of doctor, shooters and patrol team. Minister AK Saseendran also informed that 25 cameras including live trap camera, cages and gun have been allotted for the purpose of the team.

But the petition to quash the government order to shoot the tiger reached the High Court. But the court rejected it. The court asked whether the petition was filed for the sake of reputation and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the petitioner. The petition was submitted pointing out that the firing order was not followed.
