‘We are alive by a miracle’; driver narrates how he experienced the accident in Santa Fe

After the strong impact, some of the collided vehicles were on top of each other and their crew members remained trapped between the twisted iron. They were rescued minutes later by capital firefighters and rescuers who arrived and used special equipment in the maneuvers.

“We are miraculously alive, this is the situation that we are miraculously alive,” shared Brian Cheu who was driving a Volkswagen Vento that was involved in the accident.

Despite the cumbersome only one person required transfer to a hospital for medical evaluation. The other drivers, along with the truck driver, were placed at the disposal of the ministerial authorities to determine responsibilities.

Personnel from the Attorney General’s Office began the investigation work to subsequently remove the vehicles involved.
