We are moving towards energy self-sufficiency: López Obrador

President Andrew Manuel Lopez Obrador made it clear that Mexico walks under his Government to the “energy self-sufficiency“.

López Obrador headed this Saturday the meeting of supervision from Salamanca refinery in Guanajuato, in which he indicated that six thousand 200 million pesos have been invested for the rehabilitation of plants.

“We are going towards energy self-sufficiency”, he reaffirmed in a publication on his social networks

“We will produce in Mexico the gasoline and diesel that we consume to keep the price of these strategic fuels low,” he stated in his message.

The president was accompanied at the meeting by the governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo; the Secretary of Energy, Rocio Nahle Garcia; the CEO of Pemex, Octavio Romero Oropeza; the Undersecretary of Expenditures of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, Juan Pablo de Botton Falconamong others.

This weekend, the president of Mexico carried out a supervision tour of the different oil complexes in the country.
