“We know that not everyone will be happy with what we do” – Movies and Series on DTF

While my first month at DC has been fruitful, it takes time to develop a story ten years into the future. And we’re just getting started.

Peter and I decided to lead DC Studios, fully aware that we were in for a very complex and hectic world – both for the stories themselves and for our audience. And we knew that a transitional period was inevitable, as we wanted to start telling a single story in film, and on television, and in animation, and in video games.

However, the shortcomings of this transitional period were not so significant for us, compared with the creative opportunities that opened up before us. And also a chance to start building on top of what already worked in DC, and at the same time try to fix what didn’t work.

We know that not everyone will be happy with what we do. But we can promise that we are trying for the good of the story and the good of the characters that are so dear to you. Which we ourselves have cherished all our lives.

As for the future of the DCU, unfortunately I will have to ask you to wait. We want to give these characters and these stories their due time and attention. And we ourselves still have to ask ourselves a lot of questions and find answers to them.
