President of the Republic but also a candidate for his own re-election, Emmanuel Macron spoke about the war in Ukraine, this Monday on TF1 during the program “France facing war”. The Head of State explained that he had done his best before the start of the Russian invasion by “discussing with Vladimir Putin”. “I try to stop the war without making the war,” he added. This is why he continues to discuss with Vladimir Putin to “discuss the humanitarian conditions and preserve the nuclear power plants”, detailed the President of the Republic. It is necessary, he said, “to find agreements within our disagreements”, he explained. “We must prepare for peace”.

He even added that Vladimir Putin was the “president of Russia’s entry into the G8”. “Europe cannot be safe and at peace if it does not talk to Russia, in the next few hours I will talk to Vladimir Putin again,” he announced. The candidate Head of State also insisted on the role of Europe. “It’s our strength, it’s us who made it.” “Anything is possible in terms of sanctions, he concluded. The objective is to maximize the cost of this war to Russia.”
