The police had announced this Saturday morning the sad news. The body of Mireille, 53, who had been missing for two days, was found dead in her own home.
On Friday July 29 around 09:15, Mireille Van Caenenberghe had left her home located Kasteeldreef in Dilsen-Stokkem. Since then, she had not appeared.
This Sunday, we learn that a suspect has been arrested, even if the circumstances of the death of the fifty-year-old are not yet determined. The prosecution is keeping all leads open and an autopsy will be carried out on Monday.
In the meantime, there is shock in the neighborhood, even if Mireille remained relatively discreet: “Yesterday we saw a lot of police go by, then there was the announcement of his death. It is especially serious for his father, who lives next door, ”explained a neighbor to Laatste Nieuws.
“But she was always very nice and our children came back regularly with a zucchini from her garden that she had given them when she saw them”.
