The artists made many mistakes.
The military drama “Officers” was released in 1971. The black and white film became one of the most popular during the years of its release, and in 2010 they decided to colorize the film, presenting to the public a completely new version.
However, the color change was carried out with an error. Experts were unable to convey the colors of the costumes that were originally sewn by the artists. And these errors had a very negative impact on the quality of the entire picture.
Thus, already at the end of the film, the heroine Lyubov Trofimova appears before the public in a strict suit. According to the creators of the picture, it should have been blue, and the blouse underneath it should have been blue. This showed the strict character and excellent taste of the heroine. But in the new version, she appears in a brown outfit, which is completely contrary to the concept.
The artists emphasized Masha Belkina’s character with a green skirt and vest combined with a white blouse. But in the color film she appears in a gray suit, which is completely inconsistent with her character.
And it is precisely because of these errors that viewers refuse to watch the color version of “Officers.” The public did not appreciate the result of colorization at all, declaring the new film a failure.
