Web Summit CEO and founder Paddy Cosgrave resigned on Saturday following his comments on the Israeli-Hamasian conflict prompted some technology companies and investors to abandon their participation in the conference to be held in Portugal next month.
“Unfortunately, my personal comments have distracted from the event, our team, our sponsors, our startups and the participants,” Mr. Cosgrave said in a statement.
