Fight in the middle of the wedding: several guests end up in the hospital
Cake cutting went wrong at a couple’s nuptials earlier this month. The police had to intervene. The incident resulted in injuries.

It was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, but the evening turned out badly for a couple from Ticino. Ten days ago, the lovers celebrated their union in a shed on the Gnosca football field, in the municipality of Bellinzona. As they were about to cut the cake, guests took a stab at each other and ended up exchanging blows, report our colleagues from “20 minutes».
The police arrive
Several guests ended the evening at the hospital. The reason for the dispute is unclear. It would seem, however, that at some point a piece of the cake was thrown in someone’s face.
Contacted, the cantonal police confirmed an intervention at 1:30 a.m. that night. “An altercation took place between a few people and it led to reciprocal assault,” she said. So far, no complaint has been filed.
