Vienna (OTS) – “Karl Nehammer is a chancellor for everyone in this country – no matter where they live. Unlike others, the chancellor does not only make politics for the people in the urban centers, but has an eye on the whole country. The issue of supplying cash may seem trivial to some city dwellers, but in rural areas it is an issue that has a major impact on everyday life,” said ÖVP MP Peter Weidinger, welcoming Chancellor Nehammer’s plan to enshrine the right to cash in the constitution .

“It is very welcome that the Chancellor wants to create security and certainty here once and for all. Due to a wide variety of media reports, there has recently been a great deal of uncertainty among the population regarding the population’s right to cash. The constitutional anchoring gives legal certainty and takes away possible fears from the people.
