Hangzhou Daily News In early May 2022, the first stop of the “Fun Run for the Hangzhou Asian Games” will be launched in Kuwait. On May 3, the Olympic Council of Asia and the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee held a joint press conference in the form of remote connection at the main venue in Kuwait and the branch venue in Hangzhou. The relevant officials of the Olympic Council of Asia and the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee attended the conference.
The press conference introduced in detail the overall plan of the “Fun Run for the Hangzhou Asian Games” and the arrangements for the first stop of the Kuwait Station. It is understood that since the 2006 Doha Asian Games, “Fun Run” has been an important part of the promotion activities of the Asian Games of the Olympic Council of Asia.
In May 2018, “Welcome to Jakarta · Palembang Asian Games Fun Run” China started running happily on the most beautiful runway in Binjiang, Hangzhou, letting Hangzhou citizens feel the charm of “Fun Run” for the first time. In May 2021, with the approval of the Olympic Council of Asia, the “Asian Games Walk to Ten Cities” event will promote fun running, Asian Games publicity, and Asian Games song singing to the whole country.
At present, more than ten national and regional Olympic committees have signed up to participate in the “Hangzhou Asian Games Fun Run” event. Hong Kong, Palestine, Mongolia, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Nepal and other countries and Regions have this event on their calendars. In addition, supporting activities such as “Asian Games Young Journalists” and “Asian Games Painting Competition” will also be carried out simultaneously.
On the night of the press conference, the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium will also stage a drone-themed performance to congratulate the launch of the “Fun Run” event.
