After school, Werner Gschwandtner completed nursing training. However, he did not deal directly with people in need of care, but with family law files. The legal career of the now 60-year-old began as a judicial officer. At the end of April, Gschwandtner was unanimously elected chairman of the judicial union. In doing so, he will represent the interests of the more than 6,000 employees of the courts and public prosecutor’s offices in Austria.
