Niamey/Abuja – West African states want to restore democracy in Niger, if necessary with military force, should the ousted President Mohamed Bazoum not be reinstated. The defense ministers of the West African community of nations Ecowas have drawn up a plan for a possible military intervention in Niger if the putschists do not step down, Ecowas Commissioner Abdel-Fatau Musah said on Friday following a meeting in Abuja.
