This was reported by the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, who explained that they seized engineering material and beacons placed by the Tancol to affect the nation.
“From the Catatumbo municipality, Zulia, the @REDI_OCC begins the use of the L8 illegal runway used by the #Tancol groups for drug trafficking, with the seizure of engineering and beacon equipment. #FANB in the fight against drug trafficking and illegal invasions!!”, Hernández Lárez posted on his account on the social network Twitter.
Likewise, he explained that the FANB is deployed “in the exercise of its mission as guardians of the honor and independence of the country, guaranteeing national sovereignty throughout the cross-border axis,” he stressed.
It should be noted that the FANB maintains operations in the border area to fight against the Tancol, and to this end, in recent months four fronts have been developed against that group, with the operations: Vuelvan Caras, for Apure, Barinas, Cojedes and Guárico; Cacique Murachi, in Táchira; Relámpago del Catatumbo, in Zulia, and Cacique Manaure, in Falcón.
