WETEX allocates an area for “education and innovation”

As part of its efforts to consolidate the role of youth in achieving carbon neutrality, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority announced the allocation of an area for “education and innovation” during the twenty-fourth session of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Energy 2022 organized by the authority, from 27 to September 29, 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The “Education and Innovation” area brings together graduate students and young professionals with industry leaders, to discuss ways to promote sustainability in education; And the importance of empowering young people and providing them with innovative technologies and practices to make the world more resilient, sustainable and green. In Hall No. 1, the region will witness a series of discussion sessions, presentations, round table sessions, signing memoranda of cooperation, and others, with the participation of C Institute, Emirates Global Aluminium, Emirates Environmental Working Group, and Emirates Green Building Council.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, founder and president of WETEX and Dubai Solar Energy Exhibition, indicated that the allocation of the “Education and Innovation” area at the “WETEX” and Dubai Solar Energy Exhibition is in line with the authority’s endeavors to support the vision of the wise leadership that believes that young people They are the cornerstone for building a brighter future. The step also reflects the authority’s continuous efforts to involve young people in the sustainable development process and encourage them to develop innovative solutions to counter the effects of climate change, thus consolidating the position of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai as a center for creativity and innovation and an incubator for innovators.
