What a mother in KGF says to her son is an irresponsible statement, no mother would say that – Prashant Neel

Director Prashant Neel says that no mother would say what Rocky’s mother in KGF did to her own son. Prashant Neel said that she was giving her son last minute the dissatisfaction of suffering due to lack of money in life and her words were very irresponsible. In an interview with Film Companion, Prashant spoke about Amma’s character in KGF.

‘People are ready to listen to your story when it becomes successful. If it fails, no one is going to listen to that story. Similarly, Rocky’s mother’s influence and dissatisfaction in her life is passed on to her son at the last minute. No mother would say that to her own son.

They have suffered a lot in life. They die because of lack of money. So when they think about life, they think about money. I don’t care how you live, but you want all the money in your hands when you die. That is a very, very irresponsible statement.

But I was talking about that character. Not praising them. Rocky is going to do great things as a result of their words. His mother is also highlighted there as he does great things. If Rocky had been nothing, what mother had said would have been meaningless. KGF is a promise made by a son to his mother. We never deviated from that,’ said Prashant Neel.

The other day, Telugu director Venkatesh Maha came out criticizing the KGF and it was a big news. The hero’s mother wants to get all the gold and become rich. The hero seeks the help of the common people of KGF to fulfill his mother’s dream but gives them nothing even though he makes a fortune. Venkatesh said in an interview that this seems absurd. Then KGF fans turned against him.

Venkatesh had apologized after the criticism intensified. Sharing the video on Twitter, the director said that his opinion has not changed but he apologizes for the language he used to talk about the film.
