The Comprehensive Action and Development Support Battalion No. 7 in support of the social responsibility area of the Atlético Nacional soccer team, through its program ‘My first green game’, fulfilled the dream of boys, girls and adolescents from watch a football match live.
The soccer match between Atlético Nacional and Deportivo Pasto, which took place on Sunday, March 24 at the Atanasio Girardot stadium, did not go unnoticed. The protagonists were not the players who were on the field giving their maximum effort to score goals, but the 50 children from Caicedo, Antioquia, who were watching the exciting game in one of the stands.

This story began very early, when the children left Caicedo with nerves and excitement heading to the capital of Antioquia. The minors were under the supervision of Yuber Molina, mayor of Caicedo, the soldiers of the National Army and their social program: Faith in Colombia.
For them it was a unique and incredible experience, because for the first time they were leaving Caicedo and, above all, to see a soccer match live. Their faces, which were illuminated by contagious smiles, reflected the excitement of being in such a special place.

The excitement of children
During the match, the children vibrated with each goal, were excited by the plays and completely immersed themselves in the atmosphere of football, which is always full of emotions, songs and ‘heart-stopping’ moments. Their shouts of support echoed through the stadium, demonstrating their passion for the sport and the excitement of living this experience for the first time.
«It has been the best day of my life. I will never forget this experience,” said one of the little ones attending the game with emotion.

This event has not only provided these children with an unforgettable experience, it has also highlighted the importance of offering opportunities for inclusion and access to cultural and sports activities for all children and adolescents, regardless of their origin or geographical location.
Thanks to the coordination of the Faith in Colombia Program of the National Army, the Government of Antioquia, the Mayor’s Office of Caicedo and Atlético Nacional FC, actions continue to be generated that contribute to the reconstruction of the social fabric of the most isolated areas of Antioquia.
