What Cola, Fanta, Sprite & Co do with our body • HealthNews

That Sugar bad for our body is no longer a secret. The most common diseases caused by sugar are obesity and Diabetes. Also, there are some other symptomscaused by the consumption of sugar, such as:

  • fatigue
  • Lack of drive and energy
  • stomach and bowel problems; uAConstipation, flatulence, etc.
  • hair loss
  • depressions

Nevertheless, we can hardly part with the sweet taste and are looking for alternatives, just like large soft drink companies such as Cola Fanta, Sprite and Co. are doing.

What “zero sugar” means

More and more often one reads the imprint “Zero Zucker” on various soft drink cans or bottles, which means that the drink contains zero, i.e. “zero” sugar. What sounds like an unrealistic joke at first turns out to be a wonderful invention: sweet drinks that give us energy, satisfy our craving for sugar, but contain no sugar and have fewer calories. To be too good to be true? Right!

Commonly used sweeteners

The sugar substitutes are artificial, i.e. synthetic, or made from plants. The most commonly used alternatives are saccharin, sucralose and aspartame. Saccharin is chemically produced from the liquid toluene and is 700 times sweeter than commercially available sugar. Sucralose is a processing of saccharin and has no bitter aftertaste, which is why it is widely used in various foods. Also synthetically produced is aspartame, which is 200 times sweeter than granulated sugar and can be found in confectionery, baked goods, dairy products, soft drinks, glazes, etc.

The truth about the sugar alternatives

The consumer is promised a healthier lifestyle and fewer calories thanks to the sweeteners just mentioned, but the latest Study now shows that the alternatives also cause permanent damage to the body. There are bacteria in the gut that, under certain circumstances, can penetrate the intestinal wall and cause blood poisoning and infections. The results of the study now show that saccharin, sucralose and aspartame help the bacteria penetrate the intestinal wall and damage the body and the intestinal flora.
Not just the ones mentioned Sugar alternatives damage the bodybut also stevia, birch sugar, erythritol, and Co.
Due to the short-term use of sugar alternatives in our food, no long-term studies are known about possible consequences in our body, which is why it is advisable to use fructose when our sweet tooth is crying out for sugar again.
