The reported vaccination rate of the national immunization program is over 95%

The results of the seroepidemiological survey on viral hepatitis in 2020 showed that the positive rate of hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) in the whole population decreased from 16.76% in 1992 to 6.91% in 2020, and the positive rate of HBsAg in children under 5 years old decreased from 16.72 in 1992 % fell to 0.55% in 2020.
Through the evaluation of health economics, the results show that the HBsAg positive rate of children has been greatly reduced. From 1992 to 2019, Guangdong has reduced about 3.846 million chronic HBV infections through hepatitis B vaccination and avoided 952,000 deaths due to HBV infection; direct net benefits 217.23 billion yuan and social net benefit of 523.38 billion yuan; the direct benefit-cost ratio is 76.4, and the social benefit-cost ratio is 143.9.
