Idrissa Seck led the delegation of women from her Rewmi party to Macky Sall, replacing Yankhoba Diatara. The reasons for this change are not known.
According to Bes Bi, the leader of Rewmi met the Senegalese president in a heavily guarded audience. Rewmi Women’s President, Ndèye Maguette Dièye, was unable to attend due to health issues.

Despite rumors about their relationship, Macky Sall and Idrissa Seck have affirmed their desire to strengthen their respective parties, the APR and Rewmi, as well as the BBY coalition. They also praised the efforts of First Lady Marième Faye Sall to maintain ties with Idrissa Seck’s wife, Ndèye Penda Tall.
The two allies reaffirmed the “good health” of their partnership, but the question of a third term remains unresolved.
