“Spot Shot” – Citizens in the Tripoli region and beyond lodged complaints with the General Directorate of State Security over a dangerous wanted man who was stealing private and public property. The man also threatened and intimidated women in their commercial interests, even shooting at them. To address the severity of the crimes, the Department of Inquiries and Special Operations was tasked with handling the case. The suspect was identified, and there were multiple warrants for his arrest, including for shooting at a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate of the Lebanese Army. Complaints were received by the General Directorate of State Security, from citizens in the Tripoli region and its environs, about theft of private and public property by a dangerous wanted man, in addition to imposing sisters and exposure to commercial interests by threatening, intimidating and shooting at their interests.
The Department of Inquiries and Special Operations in State Security was assigned to follow up the file due to the seriousness of the crimes it was carrying out on community security in the north in general and in the city of Tripoli and the surrounding villages in particular, where it was able to identify him and it was found that there were several arrest warrants against him, most notably his shooting at a patrol.
