What happens if you peel off a payment sticker from an iPhone after a month. Not everything is so clear

Recently, Nikita talked about his experience of peeling off a Tinkoff payment sticker from an original Apple leather case. In short, it is better not to do this, because it is almost impossible to get rid of the adhesive layer that eats into the leather structure of the case.

But now, after some time, I also needed to “move” my exact same sticker for payment from one cover to another, for which I had to peel it off.

And I was surprised, because the difference between my sticker and Nikita’s sticker is just huge. See for yourself:

My sticker left the same glue mark on the back of the case as Nikita’s. However, when I tried to rub it, it began to roll into a ball, leaving almost no marks on the accessory.

In continuation of the experiment, I took an ordinary wet wipe and rolled up all the glue with it, and then removed it from the cover with one pinch.

Glue is easily rolled off with fingers or a regular paper towel.

After that, the surface of the case did not have any visible traces of glue, but remained sticky. Then I took a dry cloth, sprinkled it with an alcohol-free monitor cleaner and wiped the sticky surface without pressing hard.

And here it is, a miracle: there are absolutely no traces of glue left on the skin after the payment sticker.

Even in the light, the place of contact between the sticker and the case is not too conspicuous.

Yes, the surface structure itself was damaged from long contact with the chemical components of the adhesive layer.

A lot of small holes appeared, but they are visible only if you look closely at the case from a certain angle.

Pores from contact with glue on the skin of the case are visible only when looking closely.

And if you still apply and rub into the skin of the cover a little regular hand moisturizer, then it will seem that there was no sticker. Plus, after a while, the case will “wrinkle” from being constantly carried in your pocket, and this place will stand out even less.

Perhaps Nikita and I have different batches of payment stickers with different adhesive layers. But the fact remains: even after a month, the sticker can be removed from the original leather case with virtually no consequences and with minimal effort.
