What is and how to use the Walking Radius on Maps [Apple Watch]

2023-11-05 21:00:00

In watchOS 10, the most recent version of the operating system that powers Apple Watches, Apple brought several new features and improvements. O Maps (Maps) is one of the applications that did not escape the rule.

The function Walking Radius (Walking Radius) aims to show, through a radius on the map screen, various points of interest around you, in addition to the expected walking time.

See how to use it! ⌚️

With the Maps app open on your watch, make sure your watch is showing your current position. If necessary, tap the slanted arrow icon located in the bottom left corner.

Then, turn the Digital Crown to increase or decrease the radius shown on the screen — which indicates the time it takes to walk through the points around you. Apple allows you to increase this radius to up to 60 minutes.

You can still disable the function or choose the radius unit. To do this, keep your finger pressed on the screen and uncheck “Activate” in the “Radius on foot” section or choose between “Time” and “Distance” within “Radius Unit”.

Cool, right? ????️
