An important indicator that was checked in the laboratory is the presence of nitrates (salts of nitric acid). They were identified in strawberries by a special device SOEKS “Ecotester-3”. Permissible content according to Russian GOSTs is 100 mg/kg.
Nitrates are salts of nitric acid, they enter the plant from the soil along with top dressing. Nitrogen is responsible for the formation of the green mass of the plant – stems and leaves, helps them grow faster.
All samples passed this test, but showed very different results: Azerbaijani strawberries had the most nitrates – 62 mg/kg; in Armenian – 58 mg / kg, in Russian (Krasnodar) – 3 mg / kg, and in Uzbek nitrates were not found at all.
