What to do if you can’t use a stereo pair of HomePods?

For some time now, Apple has allowed you to use two HomePods (be they big or mini) as a stereo pair. This lets you hear your favorite music with even better quality, range and volume!

The process of setting it up is simple, but things don’t always work as they should. In such cases, you can follow some steps to make the resource usable again.

Check out! ????

  • Make sure both speakers are running the latest version of HomePod Software. To do this, open the Home app (Home) on iPhone/iPad or Mac, go to the “Home Settings” area under “Software Update” and check if there is a new version available.
  • Check that there is no problem with your internet connection. If so, try restarting your Wi-Fi router.
  • Try restarting both HomePods.
  • If you’re able to control both HomePods from the Home app, try ungrouping them and starting the process of creating a stereo pair from scratch.
  • If you have HomePods mini, perform a speaker reset using your Mac or PC.

What if nothing works?

As the HomePod is not officially sold in Brazil, you will probably find it difficult to obtain assistance. Anyway, you can try to talk to Apple Support in Brazil at 0800-761-0880 or through the Support app, available in the App Store.

If you prefer, you can still make an appointment at one of the two Apple Stores located in Brazil or at an Apple Authorized Service Center.
