What will be the best folk dance in France?

The great regional competition is back! And for this new issue, heading to one of the oldest traditions of our villages and regions of France: folk dances !

A mixture of celebration, sharing and of course tradition, they are the symbol of the “genius of the people”, preserve local identity and bring communities together even in the most isolated villages.

For the first time, we brought together 10 of the best amateur troops from mainland France and overseas for an unprecedented competition, on the stage of the Royal Palace, in Kirrwiller, Alsace.

Coming from Brittany, Occitanie, Grand-Est, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Normandy, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes but also from Tahiti and Martinique, 10 troupes proud of their region and their history will confront each other in an attempt to lift the trophy of “the best folk dance in France”!

Get ready to travel to the rhythm of performances of 200 dancers, their inimitable styles and costumes. Bourrée, round, gavotte, polka or even dancing on stilts, each troupe will be keen to offer its best performance.
