The new WhatsApp update should satisfy more than one. It is now possible to chat with unknown numbers, without having to systematically save them in our contacts!

Number search

Until now, the only way to communicate on WhatsApp with someone was to register their phone number. It was therefore far from being practical… From now on, it is much easier to exchange with a contact: the process remains the same, but it is no longer mandatory to add it to your address book.

To do this, nothing simpler ! Simply :

Go to the WhatsApp application, Start a new chat by clicking on the notepad symbol at the top right of the screen, Add the person’s phone number without the search bar, Click on the button ” Discuss “ displayed to the right of the number.

The update is already available on Android and iOS. Maybe the latter does not seem useful to you on a daily basis, but it is a feature that should change the lives of users of l’applicationespecially for work.

Enhanced security?

This update also aims to strengthen the security system of the application. The fact of no longer recording telephone numbers allows the contact to keep more confidentiality. Indeed, profile photos are no longer shared or saved on users’ phones.

This is heading in the same dynamic as everything the WhatsApp application seeks to put in place. She would also work on a feature to replace the phone number with a pseudonym to further strengthen user privacy.
