According to Downdetector, the instant messaging app has been experiencing system outages for regarding 10 p.m., causing delays in connections. The Netherlands, as well as England seem to be particularly affected. Switzerland, to a lesser extent, is also concerned.
Note that Swisscom, Salt and Sunrise, as well as the social networks Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat, also experienced some disruptions.
Although the widespread outage seemed to be noticeably subsiding shortly before midnight, significant delays in the sending of messages were still in effect.
