WhatsApp will have new text formatting options

For several years now, it has been possible to place messages on the WhatsApp in italics, bold or strikethrough. The messenger, however, began testing additional text formatting tools, as noticed by the staff WABetaInfo.

More precisely, they are developing three new formatting options, the first of which is to embed codesdesigned to make sharing and reading lines of code much more convenient and readable — something particularly useful for developers and anyone involved in creating software.

The second formatting tool under development is quotewhich, unlike the current quote message feature, will allow users to highlight a certain part of the text.

Lastly, the last formatting tool will allow users to create a list of items — something already easily possible to create thanks to the iOS/Android keyboard characters, even on the web, but which will certainly become more intuitive.

As always, we emphasize that these new features are still in the testing phase and may take some time to be available to all users.
