Kottayam: Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy thanked Health Minister Veena George. Oommenchandy thanked Minister Veena George in his keynote speech at the inauguration of the Kottayam Parambukara Health and Wellness Centre.
Seven people were bitten by dogs in Kottayam Pampadi. On reaching there, Oommen Chandy saw the concern of the family and called Minister Veena George and informed regarding this. Immediately, the Minister called Siru Philip, Head of Community Medicine Department, Kottayam Medical College and instructed him to take necessary steps. The medical team reached the houses in Pampadi and met the family members.
Meenadam Medical Officer Dr. Ranju Varghese and Dr. Cyrus was with Philip. All aspects were discussed with these families in detail and psychological support was given to boost their confidence. Further information is being sought. This was a great relief to them. Oommen Chandy thanked and congratulated the minister for his quick action.
