Dubai: Sri Lanka won by four wickets once morest India. The excitement reached the last over but Sri Lanka withstood the pressure and took the win by hitting and running. Sri Lanka beat India by six wickets. Lanka chased down India’s target of 174 in 19.5 overs by losing four wickets. Lanka withstood the pressure in the final overs to seal their ticket to the final, giving a hint of their former glory. Only Rohit Sharma might shine in the Indian line-up.
Rohit scored 72 runs. In reply, Sri Lanka got off to a good start. Their first wicket fell when the team score stood at 97. Three more wickets fell, but Lanka did not waver. Captain Dashun Sanaka and Bhanuka Rajapaksa led the team to victory. Pathun Nisanka (52) and Kushal Mendis (57) are Lanka’s top scorers.
