I was allowed to spend the night in some of the houses that are advertised as sustainable in the new picture book by Conbook-Verlag für Reiseliteratur. At least it was clear that the accommodations from “Good Places for Good People” would not attract attention by combining greenwashing with infrequent washing of towels and selling it under the slogan “sustainability”. The authors Franziska Diallo and Judith Hehl are the founders of Good Travel, a booking platform for sustainable accommodation, and demonstrate here on 224 pages how stylish and joyful sustainable travel can actually be. This works across many categories, from a hotel to a bed and breakfast or a holiday home to an extraordinary camping opportunity.
