The Vienna Sewers is a good place to start if you want to see rats. Likewise subway shafts and some Viennese cellars. According to estimates, there is at least one rat for every inhabitant in Vienna. That’s regarding 1.9 million rats roaming the underground. Sounds like a lot? That’s a matter of opinion: In cities like Paris or New York, there are significantly more rats per capita.
