The Ministry of Industry and Trade spoke regarding parallel imports. About it reported the official portal regarding the socio-economic situation in the country.
On April 24, Explained.rf announced that the department had compiled a list of goods that might be imported into Russia without the permission of the copyright holder.
“The list includes components for cars, electronic and household appliances, industrial equipment, clothing and footwear – more than 50 groups of goods in total,” the portal launched by the government explained.
According to “Interfax”the list includes such car engines as: Hyundai, Nissan and Volkswagen.
- For smartphones and technology: Apple, Asus, HP, Panasonic, Samsung, Nokia, Sony, Intel;
- Home appliances: Electrolux, Miele, Siemens, Dyson;
- Game consoles: X-Box, Play Station, Nintendo;
In total, the list included regarding 200 brands. The Ministry previously explained that parallel imports do not mean the legalization of counterfeit goods. The measure involves the import of original goods, but through alternative supply channels.
