Housework: why wear safety shoes?
Carrying out DIY work at home can involve significant risks of accidents. Each year, France registers approximately 300,000 victims of gardening or DIY accidents. Criteria for choosing safety shoes

There are also safety moccasins specifically designed for the kitchen. They protect the feet against the frequent accidents recorded in this place. Safety shoes are subject to certain standards depending on the work being carried out. Any fully enclosed safety shoe must at least comply with the EN 20345 S1 standard. This attests to the resistance characteristics (falls, shocks, hydrocarbons) of the shoes. To have a better protection against perforations, one must prioritize safety shoes with the S1P standard. In addition to the characteristics of the first two, S2 and S3 standard shoes are designed with a water-repellent upper. Finally, safety shoes must be comfortable and light so as not to interfere with your activities.

Other protective equipment needed for housework
For house work done in complete safety, it is advisable to wear different protective gear. Among them, in addition to shoes, we find in particular:

- protective glasses,
- visor, dust and vapor masks,
- knee pads,
- hearing protection accessories (ear muffs, plugs),
- protective gloves,
- protective clothing (vests, overalls, jackets, coveralls, parkas, aprons, harnesses, etc.).
This list is not exhaustive. Also, some of this equipment is not necessary for all work inside a home.
