The camera of the realme C35 disappointed us much less. Of course, the results are well below what a iPhone 13 Pro Maxbut the characteristics of the module correspond better to what can be expected from an entry-level smartphone.
The main 50 Mpx lens offers pretty shots, even if the digital processing forces a little on color saturation and contrast. If the result is rather pleasing to the eye, the sensor still confronts us with two major difficulties.
First, it is very difficult to place the focus on the right object when it detects several potential candidates: it almost does what it wants. Secondly, the shots come out quite white when the light drops, with a reduced level of sharpness.
So, obviously, the night photos – even with the appropriate mode – are mediocre, but we expected it: it’s a gadget mode in this segment, like the Macro lens (2 Mpx), totally dispensable. The very good news comes unexpectedly from the rather impressive digital zoom, which offers a satisfactory result.
Let’s just finish by specifying that the realme C35 does not offer an ultra wide-angle sensor and that, ultimately, it is not a bad thing as theultrawide is generally disappointing on entry-level models.
